Introducing Custom Workflow Ending Statuses

What are ending statuses?
Completed and Canceled were your only options. Not bad for single branched, linear, workflows. However, just those two ending status wasn't always entirely useful with workflows that include multiple branches.

Whether your organization uses Success, Completed, End, Finished or some other status to determine the completion of a business process, Flowmingo now allows to you create custom ending status.

For example, let’s say you had a workflow for installing fiber optics lines for a client. The two obvious outcomes are “Installed” and “Not Installed”.

In the designer, you’d see something like this.

Workflow ending status

How do I create them? Ending Statuses are created and modified from within the workflow Designer. Just like other tasks, double click on the task or click on the “info” button.

How can I used them? Just like any other workflow status, you can filter them in the workflow tab. But that’s just the start. We have other ideas for down the road.

Where do we go from here?

We can see enhancing our Reports to include custom ending statuses and including them in Zapier events. Perhaps when a load workflow ends with “Installed status you kick off a Zapier event that then adds the related form data to an external CRM. Or perhaps adds the client’s equipment to your inventory management software.

How else would you like to use custom ending statuses?

We’d love to hear your feedback.
